All by MYSELF

To be a man is not a day job they say.

I have been wondering what it will cost me to be this man everybody is talking about.

You too de think!!! Is your name wonder wonder?

Hmmmmm, I just need to know and be better. So I set out to achieving this MAN everybody wants and dreams for me.

I believe before now that I can do it all by myself. I don’t need anybody to help me so that they don’t say “I helped him to become what he is today”.

I didn’t even want anybody for a minute to shout or claim that he/she was part of my success story in any form or shape. I wanted to be SELF-MADE person and I had that mentality for a long time that some time in my life I observed that my friends that I started off with the same time has actually out ran me and they are all at their peak.

I was so consumed with anger and jealousy that I wanted to bury myself alive in myself.

Hahahahaha
Don’t ask me how I intended doing that!!!

The truth is that I’m tired of staying where I was and I wanted some new changes in my life and I want to move forward and faster. I was really afraid to stand or contend with friends because they are far better than I am.

Wetin you wan do kwanu?

That fateful morning while I was brushing my teeth, I heard one thing telling me to swallow my pride and ask my friends what’s their secret.

For me it was not a good idea because they keep telling me that I need someone’s help each time they are around me.

Finally!!!!
What?
Yes I said finally, I came to terms with my spirit, soul and body to ask them and when I asked one of them what their secret is, he said “MENTORSHIP”.

What in this world is this mentorship you guys are always talking about? In anger I asked….

Hmmmm, we searched for someone who has gone where we wanted to go, asked the person questions on how he got there, what it took him to get there and when he got there?

And when the person shares his experiences with us, this helps us avoid the errors of the man and leverage on his wisdom to run on the principles he shared and run faster, healthier and stronger.

My friend told me that I don’t need to take the walk all by myself, that I need someone who has been there to tell me what it will cost me to get there, how I will get there and when I will get to my destination.

Blablablablabla!!!
But the blablablabla worked!!!!

Went on searching until I met Engr. Nduwisi Uba, Emeka Nobis, Hycent Davies, etc., these mentors changed my mind-set of every fear I have ever had. They actually tore down the strong walls of ignorance, timidity and shame that I held dear to heart that has been keeping me from rising.

They showed me the way and took me the hand as we journey down the road.

I give them report and they give me assignments to do. They became part my life as I walk up the top of my game because of that I now stand on their shoulders and I can now see far and better than before.

Crazily happy as I was surfing the internet last few days back I saw they picture below here of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet having a hang out. As I was reading through it, I found out to my surprise that even a cat has Lion as its mentor….

Hahahahahaha, I got you there… what do you mean?

Benson Idahosa had a mentor
Bishop David Oyedepo has a mentor

Many of these great men in life had some persons who direct them in the area they are confuse and needs direction in their lives.

None of these men stood tall all by themselves, they had mentors who pushed them up to the ladder and was on them till they achieved their might today.

You can’t get there all by yourself like I wanted to do before, you need someone who has been there to direct you. You don’t want to pile up mistakes and consume more time and energy too.
You need to shine but you need an existing light to shine yours.

I tried to go the road alone by myself, I got stuck, I became scared, and the journey became boring that I felt like quitting until I met a mentor.

Today I mentor people, and I’m still mentored as I mentor people too. I don’t want to fly in my space alone. So I decide to carry people along with me.

Soon I will be making the mentorship classes open for all to partake. I was taught and I will teach you all I have learnt just for a little price. (Life circle)
