Is it for blessings or curses?

On a several occasions I have seen parents rain words on their children as though they are not the actual parents of these kids.
I have also seen Managers in the work place shout and rain words on their secretary or colleagues for a little mistake.

Sometimes also you see such between friends as they say all manner of negative words to their friends in the name of anger.

Hmmmmm...

After fighting my colleague in the office with words, she became emotionally drained that she couldn't do anything anymore. She just wanted to hide her tears but she couldn't.

She walked up to me and told me that she was sorry but she is going to resign from the job because she can't stand those words from me.
On hearing those line of words, my heart melted like ice placed in a hot water.

I understood immediately what she was passing through because I have once be in her shoes. I couldn't rest anymore because I knew inside of me that I have killed her spirit in the job with the words I dropped on her.

I started thinking hard, what if we use calm words with calm voice for correction to avoid hurting the feelings of others.

What if we speak with love as we correct.
What if we don't use high tones and harsh words.
What if we don't take matters too personal but always remember that the person we are speaking to is the image of God just as we are?

After pondering on all of that, I come to conclusions that I'm either blessing with my words or cursing with the words, so if I'm the image of God and a representative of Christ on earth, I just have to always speak blessings to the lives of others.

Remember that you always need to speak blessings to your life and to your family.

Make sure you are not killing with words rather you are speaking life into people.

Whatever you speak, you call forth. Just make sure that all you are speaking today carries blessings to your life, family and friends.

Be careful not to cursed anyone today with your words.

I have just learnt my lessons.

Remain blessed
