Self Education: A vital tool for Economic Growth, Community Development and Nation Building.
Preparing to speak in this topic I decided to check what education means and this is what I found; Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. I was astonished when I saw the last part of the definition "the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits." I also went back to my bag to check my degree graduation video only to hear the vice chancellor of my school say that "I have been found worthy both in character and in learning. And I asked myself, who taught you character in this school, even the learning. We just rushed to class to take attendance. I realized that many things that brought me to where I am today were things I learnt outside school. They are things I learnt on my own from the trainings I subjected myself to.
