IMO NEEDS STRONG INSTITUTIONS, NOT STRONG MEN: A CASE STUDY OF ALOYSIUS OSUJI
It was Barrack Obama who made a profound statement on Africa in his official visit to Ghana that "Africa doesn't need strong men, but strong institutions "
The unfolding political events in IMO state where heavyweight Politicians are throwing political banters at each other in one of the political parties is a clear evidence of Barrack Obama's statement. At a time when Pensioners are dying in long queues due to arrears of pensions, our leaders are caught up in political thug of war.
At a time when our state's IGR is consistently dropping and our state rated 26th on the ease of doing business in Nigeria, our leaders are caught up in political battles in their selfish interest as against the interest of the people of IMO state.
At a time when IMO has lost her pride of place as the best state in all public exams like JAMB and WAEC as has always been, our leaders are caught up in political battles as against the future of our children.
At a time when our primary healthcare system has gone comatose leaving our local health centres ill-equipped and our people improperly attended to, our leaders are yet caught up in political battles.
At a time when our teeming graduates are left without jobs, and no government support to fund their micro and small business ideas, our leaders are expressing their insensitivity by yet engaging in political battles.
The time has come for IMO people to look away from these Strong men(Politicians) and decide to bring out someone from among the MASSES who will go in and build strong institutions that will put the interest of IMO people ahead of the selfish interest of any leader.
The time has come for IMO people to choose vision, and not promises.
The time has come for IMO people to choose personality, and not political party.
The time has come for IMO people to neglect desperate Politicians who crave for power, and go for leaders who value and see humanity as the reason for being in power.
The time has come for IMO people to shun parochial and primordial sentiments and choose a leader who will revamp our economy and restore our values and dignity.
If we have a leader who will plant one industry and attract one multinational company in every LGA, IMO will become the industrial hub of Africa.
If we have a leader who will revamp our existing health facilities, motivate and properly remunerate our health workers, build specialist hospitals(for kidney, liver and heart transplant), equip and employ qualified medical personnel to man our local health centres, IMO will become one of the best health exports to the world.
If we have a leader who will identify, train, fund, and deploy young IMO citizens into mechanized farming, and establish an Agro-fund scheme for rural farmers and launch a ONE FAMILY, ONE FARMER campaign, IMO will become one of the world's largest exporters of Agro-foods and products, the middle-class earners will increase and poverty drastically reduced in less than 3 years.
If we have a leader who will encourage ICT-driven innovation and establish an agency that will fund and market Tech-solutions from her citizens , IMO will raise over 100,000 ICT Millionaires in 4 years.
If we have a leader with a sane and sound mind who respects the rule of law, our justice system will be fixed, detained innocent citizens will regain freedom, and our polity will experience the peace that breeds progress and unity of purpose.
Just as precious valuables like crude oil, Gold and Diamond are hidden miles away from the surface of the earth and not found in popular places, ALOYSIUS OSUJI is visible but not in the popular parties.
An international Lawyer and Industrialist per excellence, ALOYSIUS OSUJI has chosen to stand where the masses are standing. He has chosen to rise up from among the MASSES. He knows that with the populist parties, he would do less work but he chose to stand right where you are so that he can bring in more ACTION. ALOYSIUS OSUJI knows that alone, he cannot surmount the battles ahead, hence, he decided to form a JOINT ALLIANCE with you.
Let's REFORM IMO Let us bring on ALOYSIUS OSUJI. Let us endorse MASS ACTION JOINT ALLIANCE (MAJA PARTY)
