Don't force them, SHOW THEM
Dear Parents,
I have come to realize that we loss our teenagers because we force them to do what is right.
If what you want them to do is right, then show them how to do it.
There is nothing wrong in SHOWING.
In fact it is invariably the best method to coach or teach your teens. Show them how things are been done and involve them as you do them.
I learnt this principle from my father. He will always say, "stop shouting on them but go show them".
It helped my teaching career and Mentoring sessions with teenagers.
Sincerely, teenagers sometimes could be annoying but when you come down to their level and show them things, you will find out that they are the best people to be with.
To test the intelligence of your teenagers, show them how things are being done.
They will do that thing just exactly the same way they saw you do them and add some smartness to it too.
Show them how to pray and they will move mountains praying.
Show them how to read and they would change our nation.
Show them how to care and they would build a loving environment.
Show them how to be innovative and they will produce lots of innovations.
Show them the importance of being honest and they lead their lives in honesty.
Show them how to value time and they will value their destiny.
Show them those things that is right and how to handle them, you will be amazed what they will come up with.
Remember, Point your kids in the right direction— when they’re old they won’t be lost.
